Well well well, how time has flown – we’ve already had the first two of our weekly beer tasting sessions in the Dublin store, and we’re pleased to say that they’ve gone down really well!
So far we’ve chatted to you guys about the delights about bottle conditioned beers (tasting a couple of ales from Dungarvan Brewing Co., one from the Aussies at Cooper’s, and a Trappist Dubbel from those talented monks at Chimay) and we’ve just done a session on dark ales which included a dark mild, a porter, an extra stout, and a whiskey barrel-aged stout – not bad, eh?
But that’s not the end of it – not by a long shot! We’ve got loads of ideas for new tastings and we’ll keep going in our 6:30pm slot on Thursdays for the foreseeable future, so do come along if you fancy learning a bit about some cracking beers & breweries and having a good laugh in the process! From now on, we’ll be posting some information about each of our sessions on here (and we’ll get some photos up too!).
NB. Our tastings are 100% guaranteed Diageo-free zones…although Peter is keeping a 2009-vintage can of Dutch Gold for a special occasion…
